🎯 About the role We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help design, build, and optimize highly performant data pipelines across our Azure & Snowflake stack. You’ll work closely with our Principal Data Engineer, playing a key role in modernising our data processing systems and supporting multiple products and teams. This is a hands-on, senior role suited to someone who enjoys building scalable systems from the ground up.

🛠 What you’ll be doing • Build and maintain robust data pipelines and transformations • Deliver greenfield projects on Azure & Snowflake • Design and optimize analytical and operational data models • Work with SchemaChange, Snowflake and Azure Data Factory • Implement scalable ingestion using Snowpipe, Event Grid, SQL Server • Integrate data from APIs with strong data quality controls • Apply Azure cost-optimization best practices • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business needs into data solutions • Contribute to Agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retros) • Use CI/CD to automate and streamline deployments

✅ Essential experience • Strong background as a Data Engineer • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server • Proven ability to build and optimize data pipelines & models • Experience working with APIs • Familiarity with Snowpipe, Event Grid, Azure costing • Comfortable working in an Agile environment • Self-managed, proactive, and delivery-focused • Experience with Kafka

⭐ Nice to have • Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS / GCP) • FinTech or financial data experience • Relevant certifications • Knowledge of regulatory / financial data requirements
