Headquartered in New Zealand, we’re now expanding our development footprint into South Africa. Our goal is to establish a high-calibre local team, starting with an experienced Technical Lead to lay the foundation. The Opportunity We’re seeking a senior-level Technical Lead (or Solutions Architect-level developer) to join as the first developer in our SA office. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with a strong focus on architecture, quality, and autonomy. You’ll collaborate closely with our NZ-based engineering team, help shape the product, and lead future hires in South Africa. Responsibilities Review and provide feedback on pull requests (backend: .NET C#; frontend: Angular) Triage and resolve issues that occur outside NZ business hours Contribute to product and system architecture decisions Drive best practices and engineering standards Mentor and lead new SA-based developers as the team scales Assist with DevOps and infrastructure direction (Kubernetes and Azure) Requirements 7+ years of professional development experience (.NET C# preferred) Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or Engineering Strong understanding of modern architecture and design patterns Angular or similar frontend experience Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, and Azure Proven team leadership or mentoring experience Strong communication and problem-solving skills Self-driven, proactive mindset with a passion for clean, maintainable code Why Join Crossware?
