Who we’re looking for: An experienced Software Engineer with a proven ability to work with Vue.js and Laravel 🌟

We’re particularly interested in Engineers who care about Frontend craft and product experience, while still being comfortable contributing across the stack. Our teams already use AI-assisted tooling like Cursor and Gemini as part of everyday engineering workflow, and this role suits someone who is thoughtful about where those tools help and how they fit into real production environments.

Where you’ll work: This role will be based in Cape Town, you'll be part of our global team, collaborating with colleagues and serving customers across the UK, USA, Australia, South Africa, and beyond. Our hybrid approach offers flexibility with team connection in our Cape Town office 3 days a week 🏢

Day to day this role will

• Help to design and build new features within our UX/UI Team
• Integrate to third-party services and APIs
• Perform code reviews for other Engineers and provide thoughtful feedback
• Work with Product & Design to scope, define and estimate work
• Maintain the high standards of our codebase
• Support other team members including regular Pairing sessions
• Use modern development tooling, including AI-assisted workflows where appropriate, to explore solutions and improve delivery quality and speed

What we’re looking for

• Experience developing with Nuxt/Vue.js
• Experience with PHP/Laravel
• Experience with Tailwind CSS
• Experience working with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or similar, and good judgement about where they add value in production environments
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal, as you will be liaising with internal and external customers on a daily basis
• Using version control such as git and branching patterns such as git-flow
• The ability to work well in fast-paced environments

It’s not essential, but we’d love to hear about it if you have experience with

• AWS services
• DataDog
• Designing efficient SQL queries and schemas
• Test-Driven Development
• Working with high performance systems at scale
• Agile/Scrum methodology.
