Job Description

Orion Labs is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with project management experience to support upcoming software projects. This full-time role focuses on bridging the gap between business requirements and technical delivery. You’ll work closely with clients and development teams to ensure projects land on time, within scope, and to a high standard.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into clear technical specifications.
• Coordinate tasks and manage project timelines across distributed teams.
• Prepare comprehensive client-facing documentation including proposals, project plans, status reports, and user guides.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Manage project risks, dependencies, and change requests effectively.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate with QA teams to ensure quality deliverables.
• Organize and lead project meetings, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives.
• Track project progress using modern project management tools (Trello, ClickUp, or similar).
• Create and maintain process documentation and workflow diagrams.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development projects, particularly web applications, integrations, and cloud-based solutions.
• Strong experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and specification writing.
• Proven ability to manage timelines, resources, and risks in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with distributed teams in lean, agile environments.
• Proficiency with collaboration tools (Slack, Google Workspace) and project management platforms (Trello, ClickUp, Jira, or similar).
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Experience with QA/UAT processes and test management is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.

Technical Environment

You'll be working on projects utilizing modern technology stacks including React, Next.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL databases, with cloud infrastructure on AWS.
