Senior Data Scientist
The role in a nutshell:
As we accelerate on our mission to upgrade the world to a better financial system, we will need to understand how customers are using our product and what drives customers to engage in our platforms. You’ll be focussed on this critical step of creating better information from multiple data sources to guide our decision making and help us build better products and improve our processes.
Your mission will be:
Use data to learn about our customers and how they are using our exchange and instant buy/sell features
Collaborate with product managers, treasury, and engineers to optimise product and operational performance
Building reports and dashboards for business stakeholders
Design metrics to accurately assess product performance and business health
Formulating business requirements into analytical objectives
Hacking through complex business problems using statistics and advanced analytics to provide insights towards making better decisions and building better products
Implementing systems and processes to help scale our using our ML Ops infrastructure

The ideal Lunaut will have:
Bachelor's degree or higher in the natural sciences or technical fields such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or Economics
Exploratory data analysis, predictive analytics, and/or optimisation skills using Python or other data science-oriented platforms
Advanced SQL skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to explain data and statistical concepts to non-experts in a clear, and structured manner
Ability to work independently, as well as within and across teams
Ability to successfully complete projects with large and/or incomplete data sets
Enthusiasm to work in the crypto industry
What will really get you noticed:
At least 5 years' experience working in a similar role
Experience working with business intelligence platform such as Tableau, Cognos, QlikView, or Looker
Solid knowledge of statistical and machine learning techniques
Familiarity with modern distributed data storage and processing systems such as Amazon Redshift, Hadoop MapReduce and Apache Spark
A sense of anticipating long-term problem areas and associated risk levels with objective rationale
Experience with productionisng ML applications using a formalised ML Operations architecture
Experience or interest working in crypto or fintech industries
